Born and raised in Manalapan, NJ, Steve came down to South Florida in July of 2013 for treatment. After successfully completing treatment for substance abuse himself, he fell in love with the sunshine state and decided to make South Florida his home. He now celebrates two years of sobriety. As Daylight Recovery Center’s Alumni Coordinator, Steve is a Certified Behavioral Health Technician. “Through my many attempts at trying to get sober, I can share my personal experiences to those who may not be familiar with the disease of addiction.”, he states. Interacting with patients daily is the highlight of Steve’s day and hearing that a former patient is doing well and remaining sober is the cherry on the sundae! Working in the substance abuse industry has taught Steve the importance listening. “Everyone’s opinion matters, and it’s important to listen actively, in order to help meet a patient’s specific needs.” In his free time, Steve enjoys exercising, DJing, playing chess, reading, watching movies and going on adventures with his girlfriend.
