Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Amber moved to Florida in 2008 to be closer to family. As an LPN for Daylight Recovery Center, Amber takes any opportunity to show compassion to patients suffering from addiction. Amber views the brain as a finely tuned instrument and has always been interested in studying addiction and mental health. “Every patient needs to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Patients need to be treated individually since no two are the same.”, Amber points out. Instead of trying to be perfect, which is impossible, Amber prefers achieving excellence as it means she is fully present in the moment. During hurricane Dorian, Amber was impressed by how flexible the Daylight Family was and how everyone came together as a team to make the best of the situation. When she’s not working, Amber enjoys exercising, attending church, spending time with loved ones and a variety of outdoor activities.
