Daylight Recovery Center’s Stabilization Program

We all make mistakes, but that doesn’t mean you can no longer live a life of sobriety due to a minor slip up. For some patients, relapse is part of the learning process towards a life of recovery. While experiencing a relapse is disappointing, it by no means defines the person as a failure. We encourage everyone in the recovery community to ask for help when needed. Those who are too afraid or embarrassed to ask for help risk falling into the vicious cycle of addiction once again. Our short-term stabilization program is designed to correct minor mistakes made on the road to recovery.

I just used once. Do I really need a stabilization program?

Addiction is a powerful disease that takes hold of its victims and shows zero mercy. It is a chronic disease that cannot be cured but can be managed effectively. However, when a person experiences a relapse, it is an indication that the disease has not been managed successfully. It is in the individual’s best interest to seek professional help as soon as possible. This is because the sooner the person addresses the relapse, the sooner the person can get back on track towards sobriety. Furthermore, putting off addressing what may seem like a minor “slip-up”, can snowball into falling into active addiction again; take the recent case of Ben Affleck.

What should I expect?

A short-term stabilization program will include medically monitored detox, if necessary. After a patient successfully completes the detox process, all remaining drugs, alcohol and toxins have been removed from the patient’s system. In some cases, the relapse might be minor. In such cases, the patient will not need to be placed on a medical detox protocol, but rather monitored to ensure the patient’s safety. From there, our clinical team will work with the patient to address the underlying issues that preceded the relapse. Patients will receive individual and group therapy, private therapy sessions, relaxing amenities and undergo a relapse prevention training. This will empower the patient by providing the tools and knowledge to manage stressful situations in healthy ways, without resorting to using drugs or alcohol.

Upon completion of our stabilization program, our team of compassionate addiction professionals will help coordinate the next level of care, should the patient need further support. Even after treatment at Daylight Recovery Center is completed, the support and love for our patients never ends. Our team of alumni coordinators will always be there to offer guidance and encouragement. Take comfort in knowing that patients will always have a team rallying for them at Daylight Recovery Center.
