Oxymonster Sentenced to 20 Years Federal Prison
A trip to the US ended the the French man’s streak who was selling illegal narcotics through the dark web
Illegal sales of oxycontin, heroin, other various drugs, and money laundering landed Gal Vallerius, 36, in Miami Federal Court. He was captured by U.S. officials in 2017 and was sentenced on Monday to 20 years in prison.
Vallerius had traveled to the US to compete in a beard growing contest when he was taken into federal custody.
He had been selling illegal narcotics through an Ebay like site called Dream Market.
The dark web has been known to host a number of illegal activities and many criminals have taken to the cyber sites to continue their crimes thinking they’re undetected.
Vallerius was one of the moderators from the site, and upon arrival in the U.S. when customs did a search of his computer found over 500,000 of bitcoin online currency and a number of programs that raises suspicion.
